Our own lamb and beef is available from the farm, and beef burgers (100% Hereford beef!) and pork sausages when available. We do not keep our own pigs but buy from a neighbouring farmer and make up our own sausage/salami/chorizo recipes in our Meat Room here on the farm. All animals are traditionally reared - a fuller description of our farm is on the Accommodation page.
Kris, our butcher, will cut the meat into joints of your choice, and devises sausage and salami recipes inspired by courses with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at River Cottage.
We offer a box of lamb - half a lamb, jointed as you wish - and this is the most economical way to buy.
A box of Hereford beef will consist of one eighth of a beast with different joints, steak and mince.
However, if you would prefer to buy individual joints Kris can do this too.
We are usually here on the farm and can offer assistance, but we are not a farm shop that is "open all hours" and we do not send meat by post. Please contact us to find out what we have available - this varies according to the time of year - and if you are staying here, or locally, we will be pleased to arrange meat to be ready when it is convenient for you.
